The Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly,Hon.Leyii Kwanee has urged youths of Rivers State to reject being rented as a crowd by politicians to impress their political masters.

In a congratulatory message to the newly elected executives of the Rivers Youths Federation led by Comrade Adokiye Mujiton, the Deputy Speaker said that he has been inundated by youths about money being paid to them as hired crowd by the group opposed to the governor, even though the youths admitted that they were there for a piece of the national cake”.

Hon.Kwanee urged the youths to reject their filthy lucre and tell them the gospel truth that come rain or sunshine they are behind the Governor,Rt.Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

He also urged the new executives of the body to enlighten the youths on this as the opposition has been deceiving their pay masters outside the state with false impression of popular acceptance in the state.

The Deputy Speaker told the executives of the body that whatever largesse being given to the youths was just the fish and not the net assuring that the governor of Rivers State has their interest at heart.

Hon.Kwanee who is also the Chairman, Parliamentary Exchange and Mentorship Programme of the Pan African Parliament, said the governor is a great visionary leader who is interested in leaving a legacy for his beloved people of Rivers State and not to serve political aggrandizement.

He urged the youths to take full advantage of the governor’s empowerment scheme pointing out that what the opposition is doing is like putting meat in a trap to catch games.

Hon.Kwanee said that the opposition has no love for the people of the state particularly youths and adopts machievillian principles as well as use and dump tactics.

He congratulated them on their election and wished them a successful tenure in the service of the group.
