Policemen from Aba Area Command, Aba, Abia state have arrested 15 kidnappers who abducted a journalist in Aba.
The journalist, Mrs Lynda Osuala, a newscaster with the Nigeria Television Authority, Channel Six, Aba was kidnapped on her way back from work around her Nwaobasi All Saints Estate residence in the commercial city.
The policemen led by the officer in charge of the Anti Robbery team of the Command, Anari N. Anari, invaded the notorious Mgboko Umuezi community in Obingwa council area of the state where the kidnappers have a camp and arrested 15 persons.
The kidnappers abandoned their victim and fled with some of them sustaining bullets wounds.”
The police also arrested a native doctor, Ngozi Nwogwugwu who prepares charm for the kidnappers.
Abia state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Usman Tili Abubakar who confirmed the incident commended the gallantry of his men and warned criminals to relocate to other areas as every effort will be made to smoke them out in al nooks and crannies of the state.
