The Imo State House of Assembly library has been named after the late literary icon Prof. Chinua Achebe. This was announced by the
speaker of IMHA, Rt. Hon. Chief Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu soon
after the House has observed a minute silence in honour of the late
OGBUEFI of African LITERATURE.
The member for Ezinnihitte Mbaise State Constituency, Hon.Dr. Obioma
Ekennia had under matter of urgent importance moved a motion urging
the House to observe a minute silence in honour of Prof. Achebe who
was laid to rest in OGIDI in ANAMBRA state.
When the Speaker put it to vote, it was unanimously adopted.
