Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has reinstated his administration’s resolve to complete all ongoing road projects in the state before the expiration of his tenure in 2015.

Governor Okorocha made this statement while inspecting some ongoing projects within the capital city Owerri.

While inspecting the ring road road that spans from Egbu road through Imo State University that also connected Works Lay out to Orlu road, Gov. Okorocha said that the dual-carriage way on completion would ease off traffic congestion in the municipality.

Governor Okorocha therefore called on Imo citizens living within the urban cities to de-silt their drainages to avoid flooding, adding that the forecast by meteorologists that many states including Imo will witness heavy rain fall and flooding should not be ignored.

He said that his administration embarked on tackling flood problem at works layout by constructing drainage system that will take care of all the flood from Orji and Mbieri so as to give the residents of works layout a lease of life.

Governor Okorocha disclosed that Egbu/IMSU/Orlu dual carriage road which is about 11.5 km will cost the state N1.7Billion Naira.
