The Abuja-installed chairman of the party in Rivers State, Mr Felix Obuah, in taking the action, accused the 27 members of the House of insubordination.bio/Akpor is the crux of the matter, Olufamous.com learned.
On April 22, the assembly suspended the Obio/Akpor Council chairman, his deputy and the 17 councillors for alleged reckless spending of public funds. The action was taken because of a weighty petition that should be investigated without the interference of the accused.
But because the local government is has a link with a servicing minister who is joining the Presidency to fight Governor Amaechi, PDPÂ issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the assembly to rescind the order.
