Having taking into consideration on the political activities of the governments of the different political parties in the southeast states,we deem it fit to speak out at this time.

That we appreciate the efforts of the governments in the southeast states, but ask that more be done to bring out the best as the people are suffering, and this should be for both those in government and the private sectors.

We call on the governments  in the different states in the southeast to put effort in reactivating those abounded  industries in their different states, industries such as

i.               Golden Guinea-Umuahia

ii.              Avop vegetable Enugu

iii.            Niger Gas Enugu

iv.            Coal Mining Enugu

v.            NigerCem  Ebonyi

vi.         And others, as this will create jobs and help to reduce unemployment and crime in the southeast.

That the Federal Government should do more on the federal roads in the southeast, we appreciate the maintenance been done, we call for total rehabilitation through reconstruction of the   roads, as this will go a long way in easing   the movement of people and goods from one side of the southeast to the other, and also avoid stress to the to those visiting the southeast.

We congratulate His Excellence Governor Sullivan Chime on his signing the MOU with a foreign firm for the reactivation  of the Sun Floor Mill in Enugu, we appreciate him most for the understand  as exhibited during his speech at the signing of the MOU,  that the purpose of the reactivating the floor mill   is the purpose of  creating jobs and economic empowerment  in the state.

We pay that God will give him  more good health and wisdom to governor the people of Enugu and leave a landmark that will stand the test of time.

We call on His Excellency Chief Martins Elechi, Ibeto Cement company limited, landlord communities in Isielu local government council and Eastern bulk cement Ltd. To come together and see how to make peace that will bring to the reopening of the Nigercem.

From the report available and also going by publications that were  made on the Nigercem issue,  starting  from the “Save NigerCem group, the landlords communities, the National Assembly Members  from Ebonyi state, Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Hon, Eng Ede from the Isielu federal constituency  and the Ebonyi state government as signed by the Chief Press  Secretary  to the Ebonyi state government”

We plead that  whatever grievances  be put aside, what should count most now is the reopening of NigerCem, lets not forget that NigerCem has almost one thousand staff before it was closed in 2002 and in which according to a report has lost about 150 of the displaced workers  to  death, these people died without being paid what was owned them by NigerCem.

If a core investor is brought  in now, NigerCem will be employing about three thousand staff and there is no way that Ebonyi state will not get about five hundred job slots, apart the Ebonyi indigenes that are part of the  disfranchised nearly two thousand workers that will be settled.

Other parts of the southeast and Nigeria will also benefit, we hereby pleaded with His Excellency Chief Elechi  to please temper justices with mercy and use his good office to see how this crisis could be resoled. As a father that as he beats with the left hand he should us his right hand to draw back the child to his bosom.

The southeast governmental leaders, starting from Governors, Senators, Members of the House Representatives, State House of Assembly members, Chairmen , councilors etc, to come together and see to the development of the southeast, as that is the only way we can build economic and solidify  development in the region.

We want to use this platform to also informed the world that the National Convention as held by the Dr. Joe Odiuakim and her cohorts is not acceptable to use, we don’t reorganize Dr. that Odumakim as the National President of the CD. It is surprising that the same Odumakm that joined in fighting Chief Olusegun  Obasanjo on the third time bid of the former president, is now a third time president of the CD what a hypocrisies.

Let Odumakim give account of the African Child Policy Forum (ACPF) and the CD conference on child adoption, how much was sent by the ACPF that made the CD leadership as led by Odumakim to even smuggle delegates meals to the hotel even when the hotel Management had warned against such.

Uzor A. Uzor who has been parading himself as the southeast chairmen is fake, Dr. Odumankim planted him because she was challenged on way she runs CD as her personal property and in a manner that was against the ideology of the founding fathers of the CD. Uzor is not the chairman of CD in the southeast and we want the public to understand that whatever Uzor is doing with the name of CD is not  for the benefit of humanity and should be waved with the left hand.

We implore the Government of President Good luck Jonathan to take major drastic action on the Boko Haram issue as the activities of the sect is now becoming an embarrassment to his government and many are losing confident  in the ability of the president as a good leader and such will not be to the interest of the nation.

We totally condemn the recent killings of the Igbos in the north as witnessed in the recent bomb shell of the buses and others of it kinds, we call on the lgbos to be law abiding citizens where ever they are, but should also not be in hesitation to be of selves defense if that is the only option to defend lives and properties.
