Information reliable gathered by 247ureports indicates that the Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Technology, Prof. Cyprian Onyeji, has just been abducted by gunmen suspected to the kidnappers at Agbani. According to the Enugu Police Command PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the report indicates that there is tension now in the School over the abduction of the VC of the University.
According to eyewitness, the VC was ambushed, as he was also kidnapped at the entry of the permanent site of the school in Agbani, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state. The said abduction was said have happened around 11.30 am by faceless louts.
However, no contact has been made between the kidnapers and the relative of the victim for any payment.
According to the Police PRO Enugu State Command, efforts are on top gear to get to the bottom of the abduction tale. “He was allegedly ambushed by the entrance gate of Esut at Agbani” Amaraizu stated. The Police PRO also said that no policeman was killed in abduction, but that three Policemen were injured.
Also ESUT Director of Public Relations, Mr. Ossy Ugwuoti also confirmed the story even as he said that there has not been any arrest made.
